Basically an adapter that allows you to plug in SEGA Genesis, 3DO and whatnot controllers for use with the Mac. Since gamepads for Mac OS used to be scarce (only the Gravis Gamepad comes to mind!) this was a good alternative, especially if you had a gaming console next to your Mac. (and who hadn't, right?)
