Bureaucracies seemed like a natural target audience for all kind of forms editing & importing software during the 80's. Except, most agenies wouldn't digitize for another 20-30 years. Nonetheless, True From for the Mac was a clever approach to digitize & compress forms within the hardware limitation of the day.

Btw - Spectrum Digital Systems Mitch Stein, as seen in this Computer Chronicles excerpt, would later end up to play an important role in Apple's User Interface Design team. Google him! :-)
